Durability and Longevity
A photograph hung in direct sunlight will fade over time if you don’t take steps to prevent it. Ink-based printer prints fade much slower than dye-based printer prints. The art market and the sale of photographs as artwork suffer from this issue. It is impossible for even the best printing techniques to match the longevity of paintings.
You can produce prints that will last for at least a hundred years with good ink-based printers. There is no guarantee that dye-based prints will last for more than 20 years, but they can depend on humidity, heat, and the amount of light they receive during their lifetime. Get more information about longevity testing from Wilhelm Imaging Research. Many different combinations of printers and papers have been tested.
Printers and papers will determine the longevity of a print. If you want to ensure that your printer lasts as long as possible, look at its manual. The photo printing paper you should use along with it will be recommended by them.
Whiteness
Whiteness is dependent on the amount of whitening agent contained in the paper. If Wall printing are careful, white paper can be a great material to print on. It is very difficult to predict the colour change of those whitening agents. This subtle change could take several weeks to occur. Go for a paper without artificial brighteners if you want your image to last.
Brands
You should consider these brands if you want to find a respected brand. The following brands are available from these suppliers: Hahnemuehle, Red River, Moab, Ilford, Inkpress, Museo, and Innova. It’s possible to experiment with several different types of these products by purchasing sample packs. Specialty papers or handmade papers can be fun. Your printer may not work properly if you use papers that shed a large amount of dust. Tested paper is preferable. You’ll see how durable and long-lasting it is.
